Today I took Duette to Huntley for a dressage competition. Instead of wearing my usual endurance kit my old show jacket came out of the wardrobe We were entered into two classes; the Intro and the Prelim 7. Duette behaved herself impeccably throughout and we came away with a 1st and 6th place. Although dressage is not my forte I feel we both rode two good tests and from the comments given by the judge we can further improve ourselves.

Last weekend Barik and I went to the FOD ride to compete in our first CR together. Once at the venue Baz came out his hyper self but when at vetting he had a pulse of 39. The route took us across forest tracks and trails and after the rain from the week before it left all tracks nice and soft providing us with plenty of opportunities to canter. Baz was his usual jolly self and particular got strong when in company as he wanted to be in front, which suits me as I am just as competitive. Along some of the tracks, were small logs which Baz and I enjoyed jumping over, as well as coming across a stream which Baz also took full advantage in flying over. Although cloudy, not a drop of rain fell and we had a most enjoyable ride together. So far Baz is proving himself more and more in his Endurance career and is showing such potential especially competively.
